Prattville – Prattville’s 4th annual Fountain City Arts Festival was held on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Pratt Park. The event was rescheduled from Saturday because of inclement weather. Over fifty regional artists participated including Zachary Wickham, Russell Everett, Kasey Hope, Nancy Raia, and Charlie Lucas.
Zachary Wickham has worked professionally as a production glass maker at studios in both New York State and Alabama and his work consists of representational sculpture, light based installations, as well as decorative and functional glass vessels.
Nancy Raia is an artist, motivator, speaker, teacher, and writer. Serving as Arts Bridging Creativity Project Director at the Eastern Shore Art Center, Nancy works under grants to bring children to the arts. She also served on the board of the Alabama Alliance for Arts Education. Charlie Lucas or “The Tinman,” gathers the garbage and refuse of the world and turns it into something beautiful.
Two stages were set up featuring live entertainment. Boo Rogers and Mayor Jim Byard Jr.’s wife, Beverly, worked the Information Booth at the front gate, handing out maps to festival goers.
