Prattville – As Prattville begins to emerge from the February, 2008 tornado, one of the most severely damaged stores had their grand re-opening today. Kmart, located at 1880 E. Main Street, opened to a huge crowd, many balloons, and much fanfare.

This new store has an expanded food department, an Olan Mills portrait studio, and a Nathan’s Hot Dog restaurant. Shoppers participated in sports contests, registered to win a Wii and other prizes, and took advantage of sales throughout the entire store.

Tommie Agee, former football running back for the Seattle Seahawks, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Dallas Cowboys, appeared at the store from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., to meet fans and to sign autographs. Mr. Agee, born in Chilton County, Alabama, played college football at Auburn University.
