Prattville – J. C. Penney quietly opened their doors this morning at 9:00, as the High Point Town Center in Prattville officially began operations in the main concourse.

Penney’s shoppers were treated to hundreds of sales items ranging from clothing and cosmetics (inside Sephora) to home goods and some early Christmas decorations.

Adorning the outside mall area are gas lights, green trees, and colorful flowers at the base of a majestic American flag. Keystone Maintenance, Inc. handled all of the landscaping duties for the Town Center.

“Some of the trees we planted here weighed half a ton,” Mark Crowther, Keystone President said, “And there is an interesting story about the flag. We put the flag up on 9-1-1 and flew it half mast on that day. When it was up, it was so awe-inspiring that everyone just quit right then.”

Mr. Crowther also mentioned that the holiday season would be even brighter in Prattville this year because of the many lights decorating the mall area. “Shoppers will get into the Christmas spirit because of the carols that will be playing, too,” he added.

“All in all, this is a classy place. It reminds me of Atlanta.”
