Prattville – The Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar opens on Saturday, July 25, at noon, just in time for lunch. It is located on 594 Pinnacle Place (near JC Penney) in the High Point Town Center.

Owner Jerry Chen operates three restaurants in the River Region. “This is a nice location here in Prattville. We have two already in Montgomery,” Chen said.

The fare at Chen’s restaurant includes Angus Steak, Filet Mignon, Salads, Soups, your choice of any kind of meat or seafood marinated in a delicately special teriyaki sauce, Sushi Ala Carte, Tempura, Curry, and much more. There is also a separate kid’s menu so the little ones can eat a few items just like the adults, only in smaller portions.

Inside the restaurant is a large Japanese-style bar. A party room is located on one side of the eatery and in the back are tables with built-in teppanyaki (hibachi-style) grills so diners can watch the chef prepare their meals.

The Steakhouse is open Monday-Thursday 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and 4:30 PM-10:00 PM; Friday 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and 4:30 PM-11:00 PM; Saturday Noon-11:00 PM; Sunday Noon-10:00 PM.

Went there yesterday for lunch. The lunch speciald for the most part are just $7.95. I had a Spicy tuna and a Tuna roll with miso soup. The soup was the best flavored Miso I have had. The rolls were very good could have been spicier but still good. Next time I am sure if I ask it will be spicier. Service was very good and the place is really nice inside. I would go there again soon!!

We’ve been living in Prattville now since late July 2009. Coming from Colorado, we were really surprised with what this town has to offer. Finding this place Tokyo was by far a good decision for us! Great location, minutes from shopping sites. as for the food, you definitely can’t beat the price of having good Japanese cuisine. Their lunch specials are worth every penny, not very many places can you find a complete hibachi lunch for under $8. Trust me, lunch and dinner here at Tokyo is worth it! Great service, good location, very clean, good ambiance, all the servers are very courteous to your needs and most of all, their food is delicious! You will be taking home leftovers that’s for sure! This is one of the best Japanese Steakhouse/Hibachi places we’ve been to!
