Prattville – The Prattville-Autauga Humane Society needs help. We need volunteers to help at the shelter and with off-site projects such as fundraising, adoption teams, volunteer coordination, event planning, etc. We have a very small volunteer group and we need to increase our numbers so that we can do more because our needs are great.

We are appreciative of our current volunteers and want to acknowledge their efforts with a small get together next Sunday, August 30th at 1:30 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (next to Larry Puckett Chevrolet) on Cobbs Ford Road. For those interested in learning more about volunteering, you are invited to attend this event with an arrival time of 2:30 PM.

If you want to volunteer but cannot attend the August 30, 2009, event, please email the shelter that you would like to volunteer. Go to our website www.autaugahumanesociety.com, print out our volunteer application, complete it and mail it to the P.O. Box address listed on the bottom of the form. Afterwards, you’ll get emails about volunteer needs as they arise.

We have too many homeless, neglected and abused animals that need our help and not enough volunteers to help them. Please consider getting involved.
