Prattville – Hobby Lobby, a nationally known retailer, will soon be opening a store in Prattville. The store will be located in the first phase of The Exchange, at the busy intersection of Cobbs Ford Road and U.S. 82.

Vincent Parker, Director of training and customer service at Hobby Lobby, Inc., believes that this location was chosen to fill a void in the area.

“We felt the market and the people in Prattville were underserved,” Parker said. “Our aspiration is to serve the people of Prattville with super savings and super selections every day.”

The 45,000 square foot (not including offices and stockroom) store will open in early fall.

“We are shooting for an opening date of October 5 at the Prattville location,” stated Parker. “Right now we have 432 stores in 34 states.”

The privately held retail chain is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The store sells arts and crafts supplies, fabrics, baskets, party supplies, picture framing, and related items.

Also opening in the fall will be Academy Sports & Outdoors, located adjacent to Hobby Lobby at The Exchange.
