Prattville Mardi Gras parade slated for January 30

Prattville – The city’s 6th annual Mardi Gras parade, themed “A Hometown Mardi Gras,” is scheduled for the last Saturday in January. The procession begins at 3:00 PM at the Autauga County Courthouse and winds through the streets of downtown Prattville.

Beads, candy, and moon pies will be thrown from floats; local vendors selling beverages and food will be located at the Partners in Pediatrics parking lot (next to Bank Trust) beginning at noon.

The Dixieland jazz band, Swing ‘n’ Dixie, will provide entertainment before and during the parade and Space Walkers of Montgomery will host the children’s fun area.
