Prattville – Prattville’s first annual Street Dance will be held on Friday, August 7, at the downtown Creekwalk from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. With over forty years in the music business, the Sweet Young ‘Uns will be providing the entertainment. Food vendors will be set up and admission is free.

In addition to the music and food, there will be a watermelon seed spitting and throwing contest, sponsored by the Prattville Downtown Unlimited and lots of activities to entertain the kids, including a free bouncy ride.

“This is the last weekend before school begins in Autauga County. Our street dance provides an opportunity for residents to get together and celebrate the end of a great summer vacation while looking forward to the upcoming school year,” said Mayor Jim Byard. “Street dances are, by nature, fun and I invite everyone to join me for this Sweet Young ‘Uns concert,” he continued.

This latest staycation activity is provided for by the City of Prattville to offer families some inexpensive summer fun. For more information, please call the City of Prattville’s Special Events Office at (334) 358-0297.
