Prattville – The Prattville Fire Department responded about 4:00 AM on Monday to a fire at Marco’s Pizza, 676 North McQueen Smith Road, according to Grady Lee, one of the restaurant’s owners.

“This was just devastating,” Lee said. “The building is a total loss … the cause is unknown, but arson and gas have been ruled out.”

The owner also stated that he would be meeting with the insurance adjustor on Tuesday to learn what the next step will be, but they would indeed be back.

“I’d say two months to rebuild here would be optimistic, but we’ll be in business again within six months for sure,” he said.

Today would have been the eatery’s four-month anniversary of operation in that locale.

The adjacent Aronov Realty building was also damaged in the blaze.
