Prattville – The Navistar LPGA golf tournament, to be held September 22-28, 2008 at the The Legends at Capitol Hill RTJ golf course in Prattville, is an important event for the city and the entire river region. Last year Prattville city officials estimated that the Navistar LPGA Classic’s economic impact was between $16 million to $22 million for the weeklong event.

On Tuesday afternoon workers were busy preparing the “Senator” course and setting up the grandstands where last year around 30,000 people witnessed this years defending champion Maria Hjorth work her magic.

This years Navistar Classic will feature a full field of LPGA players, including Lorena Ochoa and Morgan Pressel.
