Prattville – A new “down-home” Southern restaurant will be opening in mid-October in downtown Prattville.

The Fountain City Grill will be located on W. Main Street and the restaurant’s owners Ray and Heather Coulter said that although the menu has not been confirmed yet, they are planning on serving meat and vegetables buffet style.

“We may have a buffet, but also a menu that people can order off of,” Mr. Coulter said. “Maybe burgers… and I love Philly cheesesteak.”

“My wife will be doing some of the cooking and I will be here at times, but will also be keeping my day job.”

Mr. Coulter operates Jason’s Deli in Montgomery and has been in the restaurant business in some form or another for sixteen years, but has never had the opportunity to own a business. The couple came to Prattville three years ago from Beaumont, Texas, and they are delighted to raise their four children in the Fountain City.

“We enjoy Prattville and we chose this location because we just love the downtown area,” said Mrs. Coulter.
