Prattville – The City’s Way Off Broadway Theatre announced auditions for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown on April 12 at 7:00 PM and April 13 at 7:00 PM at Prattville’s Performing Arts Center, 203 W. 4th Street.

The play, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Shultz, with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, revolves around an average day in the life of Charlie Brown; a day made up of moments from Valentine’s Day and the baseball season to utter despair, adding the lives of his friends (human and non-human) to the mix.

Musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” and “Suppertime and Happiness.”

About the cast:

Charlie Brown – Man, Tenor
Snoopy – Man with multiple ranges
Lucy –Woman, Mezzo-Soprano
Sally – Woman, Soprano
Linus – Man, Baritone
Schroeder – Man, Tenor
Woodstock – Man or Woman, silent role

The show will be directed by Josh Pittman and will run June 3 through June 20. Auditions (open to age eighteen or older) will consist of reading from the script and performing a song.
