This week’s canine Pet of the Week is a precious dachshund mix that has been living at the Prattville-Autauga Humane Shelter for about two months. Holly Berry was only three months old when she was turned in with a litter mate who was later adopted, and she hopes that she will be next. Working hard on being crate-trained, Holly Berry socializes very well and loves to play with her canine friends.
As are all of the animal friends at the shelter, Holly Berry is up to date on her shots, but she has not yet been spayed. She is tri-colored, primarily black and tan, with a tiny bit of white on her chest. Playful and sweet, Holly Berry would be the ideal pet for anyone searching for a loyal companion.
Jake is the feline Pet of the Week and his handsome good looks makes the female felines at the shelter swoon. At two years old, Jake was a stray and just appeared at a home one day, obviously looking for a loving human parent. This domestic long-hair has been neutered and declawed.
Jake’s coloring is a gorgeous grey with white markings, especially on his neck and paws. Extremely affectionate and devoted, he is longing for the ideal lap to curl up in for many, many cat years to come.
