Our Prattville Pets of the Week at the Prattville-Autauga Humane Shelter: Maverick and Maggie

If Maverick, a four-year-old chocolate Greyhound mix, could talk, he’d tell his prospective owner that he’s very affectionate, playful, and smart. Because he’s been around other dogs and cats, he is tolerant of other animals and gets along well with them and with children.

Maverick is up-to-date on his shots, is leash trained, is familiar with basic commands, and has been neutered. A sad owner who was moving and couldn’t take this beautiful dog with him brought him to the Prattville-Autauga Humane Shelter on June 4.

So whether you have children or other animals… or if there is just you and yours… Maverick would make a great addition to your family.

Maggie, an exquisite, four-year-old, white and grey domestic longhair, is searching for the right person to love. Not much is known about her previous life, but just looking into her dazzling grey eyes will tell you that she is so friendly, affectionate, and loving.

This gorgeous feline is in good health, has had all of her shots, and has been declawed. Maggie loves climbing on the shelter’s cat tree and is patiently awaiting someone who needs a warm-hearted forever friend.
