This week’s canine Pet of the Week is friendly and frisky Sandy, a black and white female Terrier. Weighing in at about 22 pounds fully grown, Sandy is just as happy walking beside her person as she is cuddling on the sofa, and one of her very favorite things to do is to take a bath! Well-behaved and gentle, she is just as comfortable around children as she is around her animal friends.
Her soft baby blues light up when visitors walk into the shelter and you are sure to feel the wetness of her tongue as she runs to greet you. This is a sweet-tempered canine with a lot of love in her heart for someone who’s looking for a loyal and dependable companion.
Two five-year old sisters, Skillet and Mrs. Kitty, are the feline Pets of the Week. The reason why they are both listed here is because the shelter is offering a discount if they can be placed in the same home. Since the two grew up together and are also roomies at the shelter, Skillet and Mrs. Kitty have never been around dogs so they probably should not be near them in a new environment. But, they love each other dearly and are great company for one another.
Weighing about thirteen pounds each, Mrs. Kitty’s eyes are bright green and she has the calico colors of black, brown, and white. She will stay in your lap forever if your rub her ears. Her sister, a black Domestic Short Hair, is so very soft to the touch and will dazzle you with her gorgeous amber eyes. They have both been spayed and are two very sweet, affectionate felines who are more than ready to give a new owner a double-dose of tenderness and adulation.
